Not a minor but need help checking-in when departing from the UK ?
In addition to the unaccompanied minor service (full details below) we offer a much simpler service to help teenagers and the elderly with the check-in, security and passport control when departing from the UK. There is an extra charge for this service which is added to our normal airport transfer prices. See options (1) and (2) below for pricing.

Option (1) We drive into the short term car park and help them with their luggage into the terminal and show them where they have to go for check-in, security and passport control. This service is normally covered by the minimum £25.00 one hour charge. The minimum and hourly charge covers one hour of escort time and car parking charges.

Option (2) We drive into the short term car park and help them with their luggage into the terminal, stand in the check-in queue with them and then accompany them to security and passport control. This service is normally covered by the minimum £25.00 one hour charge but at busy times can take longer and therefore the cost is increased and is charged at our normal hourly charge of £25.00 per hour or part there of. The minimum and hourly charge covers one hour of escort time and car parking charges.

Unaccompanied minors travelling to or from Oxford - what the full service involves

You are responsible for arranging and paying for your chosen airlines unaccompanied minors service charges.
Check with the airline you are using about prices, age restrictions and regulations and remember to book in advance.
As well as paying our normal airport transfer cost you will be responsible for paying our (CCB Cars) unaccompanied minor supervision fee.This is typically the waiting time and car parking charges. Our rates are at the bottom of this page.

• Once at check-in your CCB Cars driver will be asked to provide information about the unaccompanied minor.
  Airlines complete forms that normally include the child's identification; flight itinerary; a parent or guardian's authorization;
  and the details about who will be meeting the child at the destination (they may require all or any combination of phone
  number, address, name, and relationship to the child).
  
• Airlines also have items to help keep track of unaccompanied minors. Airlines may provide a baseball cap, pin or button,
  or a lanyard (a hanging tag worn over the neck) in order that the child may be easily identified by all airline staff.
• Your CCB Cars driver will stay with your child until he or she has to go through security and from there on the airline representative takes over responsibility.
  
• An airline representative takes the unaccompanied minor through security and brings them to the gate where the child will
  be escorted on board by an airline representative, normally prior to other passengers.
  
• Our CCB Cars driver who takes the unaccompanied minor to the airport is required to stay until the airplane departs and
  stays within earshot of the airport representative who checked the child in so that he can be advised of when the aircraft has
  left. Airlines normally insist that our driver remain at the airport not only until the aircraft has pushed away from the gate,
  but until the flight is airborne. This way you'll have the peace of mind knowing that your child is truly headed for their destination.
  If you are happy for our CCB Cars driver to depart from the airport once the airline has taken over your child responsibility which is normally when they enter the security check you must make this clear in your instructions to the airline and us.
  
• During the flight, the unaccompanied minor is supervised by the inflight crew. Upon landing at the destination the child
  will wait until the passengers not requiring assistance have left the aircraft and the inflight crew will hand the child over to a member of the airline's airport staff. The airline representative then escorts the child to the arrivals area to meet up with the meeting party.
  
• After verifying photo identification, the unaccompanied minor is given over to the person who was designated to meet the
  child at the destination.

CCB Cars unaccompanied minors rates for UK Arrival transfers
Our normal airport transfer prices apply plus any additional waiting time (which includes car parking charges) is charged at £25.00 per hour or part there of (minimum charge one hour). We will constantly monitor the flight arrival time and our driver will have identification on him at all times when collecting your child from the arrivals hall or the airlines specific area for unaccompanied minors. Our driver will then drive your child safely to the destination address.You can call us any time for a progress report. The minimum and hourly charge covers one hour of escort time and car parking charges.

CCB Cars unaccompanied minors rates for UK Departure transfers
Our normal airport transfer prices apply plus escort and waiting time (which includes car parking charges) is charged at £25.00 per hour or part there of (minimum charge one hour). Please be aware with airline procedure and flight delays etc waiting time can be 2 -3 hours and some times longer at the departing airport. To keep our charges to a minimum you must state to the airline and us in writing that you do not require us (CCB Cars) to wait once your child has been handed over to the airlines representative. You can call us any time for a progress report. The minimum and hourly charge covers one hour of escort time and car parking charges.
